Sonde depth estimates depend on receiver setup, signal geometry, interference, and the sonde's orientation. A camera cannot pass every blockage or bend, and GPR may not resolve a small or deep pipe. The located route should be treated as evidence with a stated method and confidence, not a universal accuracy guarantee.
For excavation, define the work footprint, verify applicable one-call requirements, preserve access, and determine whether a critical crossing needs physical exposure.
