Transparent ranking

Directory ranking methodology

Eligibility comes before ranking. A company must support the requested service and geographic relationship before other quality signals are considered.

Organic signals

  • Confirmed service match and project fit
  • Located-in, serves, or travels-to relationship and relevant distance
  • Current verification of defined attributes
  • Profile completeness and factual freshness
  • Genuine review quality and recency when enough data exists
  • Measured responsiveness, availability, complaints, and quality signals when supported

Geographic language

Based in means a confirmed office or headquarters. Serves means normal confirmed coverage. Travels to means conditional or extended coverage. Find Locators does not call a provider local merely because it may travel to an area.

Advertising

Sponsored placements are labeled, eligibility-gated, and visually separated from organic results. Payment cannot create verification, suppress reviews, or make an irrelevant provider eligible.

Monitoring

The methodology is reviewed for gaming, concentration, stale data, geographic bias, and unsupported assumptions. Material changes are dated and disclosed.
